We offer a series of decision points at which our clients can decide from the alternative presented what future course of action to pursue. Depending on the scope and complexity of the project, our process typically involves the following phases:

Statement of Work (Solution Outline) - a detailed description of the work to be performed, schedules (including key decision points), and projected costs.
General Design - includes background research (e.g., content management, market opportunity research) and overall system design and architecture.
Detailed Design - detailed system design and architecture.
Development - software development, integration, and content transformations as dictated by the system design and architecture.
Deployment - implement all elements of the detailed design and development results, train as necessary, test and maintain.

Consulting Services

netLogex offers a full array of consulting services in conjunction with the custom software development, integration, electronic publishing, and content transformation services we provide:

XML Solutions - We consult on all aspects of XML technology including DTD and Schema development, XSLT transformations, XSL styling, and XML repository strategies.
Custom Software - We consult with our clients on custom software strategies that will facilitate their XML project deployments.
Integration - We recommend appropriate 3rd party software and services that meet our client's XML needs.
Electronic Publishing - We perform a variety of background research and design functions in order to present our clients with a number of potential implementation strategies. In particular, we specialize in content management, subscriber relationship management, and market opportunity research.
Content Transformations - We consult on the design of transformation implementation strategies: XML to XML, database to XML, and non-structured (or semi-structured) content to XML. In particular, we specialize in the transformation of Folio Infobases to XML.

Custom Software Development

Despite the growing number of software tools and development environments for XML, it has been NetLogex' experience that the development of custom software is necessary for the successful deployment of many projects. NetLogex offers an extensive menu of software services ranging from custom transformation programs that convert legacy data to XML, to mini-applications that facilitate the integration of XML-based programs into a client's work flow process. Integration

When XML was first introduced as a W3C Recommendation in 1998 there were very few applications or tools that focused on XML. The programs that were available were aimed at SGML and were generally too complex and ill-suited for Web-based implementations. But that has now changed.

There are now numerous applications that facilitate the implementation of XML solutions. From authoring environments to content management systems - from XML data bases to e-commerce systems - the XML application environment is rich and growing.

NetLogex advises its clients on XML applications that are appropriate for those client's needs - and we help in implementing, training and integrating those applications into the client's work flow and business processes.
